Political Impact

A strange thing happened a few weeks ago when I declared my departure from political parties. Right after I finished writing that I went to give blood. I was denied because my blood pressure was 160/110.

Funny thing that. I guess I get a little worked up about these things.

I don't mean to lecture, but your Number one Priority in your life.. Needs to be getting that into a 120-130 range. and if you can 110-120.

You desperately need to get a home monitor and work on it.. My bet is that only some of it is stress..

I have no idea who you are, and I hate to be a Troll.... But I'd bet you are in Hypertension without the stress. At your age... This is Awful. you are doing continued damage to your body.

The Rate of Heart Attack and Stroke in people in their early 30's is frightening.

you can never take care of anyone else if you don't take care of yourself.

You have time... But this is a VERY serious problem.

I only say this because, I once had a very similar problem. And say this out of concern.

I also know that I can't help people who can't help themselves.

Sorry to be an ass. I very much apologise.

Thank you for your concern, believe it or not I am working on it. For what it's worth my normal range is 130/90 (still higher than I want it).

I am concerned about my health, that's why I have lost between 25 and 30 pounds since last spring. With discipline and a little bit of luck I think I may be able to drop 5-10 more before sailing season starts.

As for how reasonable a weight goal that is... Lets just say I have it to lose and it's been getting in the way of me living my life.
